Linklaters invests £500,000 in Young People in Haringey and Islington We’re delighted to announce a five-year partnership with law firm Linklaters who are investing £500,000 to create opportunities for young people to reach their potential. Haringey Giving and neighbouring Islington Giving will each channel £250,000 to support young people in their respective boroughs over the next 5 years. Haringey Giving plays a unique and vital role in Haringey, channelling resources to local organisations that understand their communities best. For Linklaters, that alignment with place-based, community-led impact is exactly why we chose to support Haringey Giving from its earliest stages. Working with such a locally embedded, insight-led organisation has enabled us to extend the reach and relevance of our Social Impact work. Through Haringey Giving’s Together We Can Fund, Linklaters will provide £50,000 per year for five years. The fund will support impactful projects which are led and designed by young people in our borough. Each applicant will be able to access up to £7,500 over an 18-month period. The funding may be used help young people build confidence, overcome isolation and access future opportunities. It will do this by supporting activities designed by young people such as safe spaces, mentoring, creative projects and skills development and more. The funds will support a wide range of individuals, from those who are most marginalised to those preparing to enter the workforce. We’re overjoyed and immensely grateful to Linklaters for their continued support for people experiencing inequality and disadvantage in Haringey. We’re absolutely delighted to be working together with Linklaters and Islington Giving to enable many more young people to achieve their goals and potential!
