Ten more life-changing initiatives supported Your kindness is providing much needed support across Haringey! We hope you're as delighted as we are that your support has funded more life-transforming local projects. Every penny you have given is enabling people experiencing inequality and disadvantage in Haringey to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Haringey Giving's Together We Can Fund supports three priority areas for action locally. These were established based on local insight and data gathered from residents, communities and public sector agencies across Haringey. Through the Fund, your support is: Enabling children and young people to live their best lives, including addressing the serious impact of knife and gun crime Improving mental health and tackling loneliness and social isolation, including among older people Enhancing skills and enterprise, including activities and projects by, with and for people living in Haringey who are refugees or from migrant backgrounds. Here's the difference you're making Atinuda x VoiceBox: Artist Development Programme, £2,350 Atinuda will deliver a 12-month artist development programme for twelve emerging Black and Global Majority, queer artists in Haringey. The project includes professional development and opportunities to perform in front of Haringey audiences. It will have a longer-term impact for selected artists, who will access paid performance opportunities, skills workshops and digital portfolio assets. It will generate a positive impact for the wider network of Haringey based Black and Global Majority queer creatives. Crafting Memories -Together We Thrive, £5,000 More than 50 older people who experience social isolation, mobility limitation and early-stage memory challenges will access support. Over 24 weeks, Breadline London will deliver a programme of creative activities, gentle exercise, physical therapy and healthy eating, supporting older people in Haringey. Activities will aim to promote mental and physical health, strengthen independence and community connections. Community Health and Wellbeing Project, £4,440 75 people will be enabled to access support around mental health and wellbeing services, isolation, financial worries and language barriers. 24 sessions will support participants to seek early help, provide advice, signposting and opportunities to socialise. This community-led initiative will be delivered by Community Development Association for Minority Communities. Pink Patsy Puppet Show £3,500 Children aged 3-7 years who experience challenges with early literacy or traditional learning environments and their families will be supported through a live puppet performance. Community-based storytelling and creative arts project, Magmay Books will provide gentle pacing, visual storytelling and music designed to support different learning styles, including neurodivergent children. MB Tottenham Family Walks, Photos & Fitness, £5,000 Up to 70 parents, carers and children from low-income households who are experiencing social isolation will access family-focused fitness, wellbeing and reflection sessions. MB Community CIC will deliver the sessions in Tottenham. These will enable participants to develop social connections, encourage physical activities and promote wellbeing though regular movement and gentle exercise in a supportive environment. C.O.A.C. Youth Club, £5,000 Ten children age range 6-11 years who are living through an experience of parental relationships breakdown will benefit from the project. Paths Through Change will deliver the C.O.A.C. Youth Club, which will include fifteen weekly after school club sessions during the summer and autumn terms. Children will benefit from structured activities which aim to help improve their emotional resilience, conflict resolution skills and support for their and their families' mental wellbeing. RollnBoogie Therapeutic, £5,000 Up to 60 people over 50 years of age will access free, weekly, therapeutic roller-skating sessions. Activiites will be delivered at Tottenham Sports Community Centre by RollnBoogie. These structured sessions aim to improve participants’ mental health and wellbeing and promote physical activities to build resilience and tackle social isolation and loneliness. UNDEFINED: Rewriting the Equation, £5,000 Up to 40 young people aged 10-19 from families living on low incomes in the Wood Green and Tottenham areas will benefit from the project. Undefined Performing Arts Academy will deliver weekly street dance workshops and creative sessions which will culminate in a final performance at Jacksons Lane. The sessions will support participants to develop their confidence and a sense of community and belonging through dance, in a safe and supportive environment. Wave Hub Inclusive Art & Connection Programme , £5,000 40 learning disabled adults, particularly those experiencing post-education isolation will benefit from a 24-week inclusive art programme. Mixed ability creative sessions will include structured creative projects, with flexible, participant-led elements providing routine, creative expression and social connection.
